The Mediterranean is particularly vulnerable to climate change, with recent disasters such as the DANA floods in Valencia. UMAR (Union of Mediterranean Architects) connects architects, institutions, and public administrations at all levels — local, national, and international — to prevent and respond to these disasters.

At CONSTRUMAT, concrete emergency actions in Egypt, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Turkey, Portugal, and Spain, among other countries, will be examined, analyzed, and discussed. Additionally, foundations for future collaborations with the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean and UNESCO will be established.
