The STC makes it possible to calculate the construction process of the structure in 3D, not only "a posteriori" during the construction, but also during the design phase. In particular, there is an increasing trend to increase the thickness of the floor to carry the same design loads as before, and to replace lightweight floor types with other solid slab types with higher dead weights, without considering the implications of this.
